Join us for a potluck + Updates
Potluck
Thanks to all those who gave feedback to our proposal (more below), like most of what we do this is an experiment that cannot happen without our producers, our consumers, and some enthusiasm from both sides. If you haven’t given us feedback yet please do, the board will be reviewing the data next week and we want to get everyone in - http://laluchaspace.com
You may have noticed that all this planning and organizing has made our regular plate of the day service a bit inconsistent, so we have decided to start transitioning to frequent potlucks because, quite frankly, we miss seeing you all on a regular basis. This will help us keep you updated and more of our community to connect at once. We’ll still be around for drop ins - just check Twitter.com/LaLuchaSpace to see what we’re up to.
Please join us for a potluck! La Lucha Space will make the entre, provide tea and coffee, if you’d like please bring a side-dish or dessert with a local ingredient, but don’t let it stop you from coming! Invite your friends! Tuesday April 2nd at 6pm. La Lucha Space, 2035 Prince, Conway AR for the (potluck series) kickoff.
A bit about the move to Downtown
La Lucha Space has been, since it’s very inception, an experiment. Those who have known us longest know that ours is a humble and grass-roots beginning. In recognition of the high cost of operating in ‘public’, we decided to transform a portion of our private space into La Lucha Space. Then we invited pretty much whoever we could into that place to help create something... We convinced people to engage their optimism and imagine what could be with what is available to us and not what is. We made food and offered it to our community as a means for engagement. The result was countless conversations, projects and events in which time and time again we were surprised and delighted to find that, often completely invisible, there were brilliant, inventive, and creative people all over the place and they were looking for ways to engage and participate with their community.
